I am a passionate and
experienced composer specialising in
music for film, television and video games.
I have composed and produced in a range of genres, from
large-scale ensemble scores to hip-hop influenced jazztronica and
from retro-styled "chiptune" electronics to intimate solo piano tracks. You can listen
to some samples of my work over at my portfolio and releases pages.
About
When approaching a new composition, I work most effectively by simply sitting at my keyboard and playing, moulding ideas by ear. This process is informed by my experience as a performer on tenor and baritone saxophone, piano, and percussion/drums. I relish pushing creative and technical limits to ensure each project's soundtrack is the best it can be.
academic profile
I graduated from the University of Bristol with a first class honours Music BA specialising in composition and music history in 2014 and a Master's degree in Composition for Film and Television in 2017. I was praised in Classical Source’s review of a performance with the University Symphony Orchestra and have performed at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
personal
I live and work in Birmingham and love collecting and listening to vinyl records, new and old. As you would expect, I spend my spare time watching films and TV and playing video games! I love getting recommendations of things to watch, play and listen to, so if there’s anything that you think I might enjoy and/or you are part of a project that needs original music, please get in touch!
