Owain Astles' docu-drama about homelessness Sleeping Rough, featuring my original score, will be screening alongside performances of the play No Sweat at the Pleasance in London throughout February.
No Sweat explores the crisis of LGBTQ+ homelessness: combining real stories, verbatim interview clips and an original score, No Sweat reveals stories from within the world of gay saunas - a common place for young homeless people to seek accommodation. In a world where stability is a second from slipping through your fingers, austerity combined with prejudice sees young people putting themselves at risk all too often.
Further details and tickets for No Sweat are available on the Pleasance website and info and tickets for the Sleeping Rough screening can be found here.
If you are unable to attend No Sweat and still want to support it, a "Pay it Forward" scheme has been arranged through Crowdfunder to allow purchase of tickets for others for whom the price of entry is a barrier. Find more details about the scheme and how to donate on the campaign page here.
